Orthodontic treatment is a great way to achieve the smile you have always wanted. It takes crooked teeth, aligns them, and enhances the appearance of your smile. It even improves your oral health! Because of the technology nowadays and the many advancements in the orthodontic field, there are many problems orthodontic treatment can fix. Our orthodontist, Dr. Steven Jung, is happy to tell you all about them. Those problems are:

-Overbite: This is sometimes called “buck teeth.” It’s when the upper front teeth lie too far over the lower teeth.

-Underbite: This sometimes creates a “bulldog” appearance. It’s when the lower teeth are too far forward or the upper teeth are too far back.

-Crossbite: This is when the upper front teeth do not come down slightly in front of the front lower teeth when biting down.

-Open bite: This is when there is a space between the biting surfaces of the front and/or side teeth when you bite down.

-Misplaced midline: This is when the center of the front top teeth do not line up with the center of the bottom front teeth.

-Spacing: This is when there are gaps or spaces between the teeth.

-Crowding: This is when there are too many teeth for the jawbone to accommodate.
